Covering Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con 2016, we discuss what we learned at the Stranger Things Panel featuring Shannon Purser, the actress who played Barb on the show.

Later, we take a question from that panel to THE designer of The Demogorgon monster, Aaron Sims.  From the Aaron Sims Creative booth on the floor of the exhibit hall, Mr. Sims was nice enough to talk with us about some of the concepts and requirements that went into the design of this terrifying creature.

Visit Aaron Sims Creative on the internet to learn more about his many amazing creations!  You can find the company on their homepage, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

This week, Jeff and Jennifer bring 2000s favorites to the table!  Jennifer picks the fun movie this time with 2003 heist ensemble The Italian Job, while Jeff attempts to get Jennifer's tears flowing with 2006 "romdramedy" (copyright KFW) Catch and Release.  Does Jeff get to taste her salty tears, or does fun win the day with Jennifer's pick?  Tune in to find out!

Jeff and Jennifer briefly reflect on ONE YEAR OF PODCASTING... and then - as Jeff turns 40 - it's back to the nerdy world when they talk a little bit of Stranger Things (no spoilers), a little more about Luke Cage (almost no spoilers), and a whole lot of Suicide Squad!

A few months ago - in an effort to help Jennifer with her health - Jeff planned out a spa day... of a sort.  This was a special kind of spa where you stick a tube in your butt and let the world's cares just wash away.  Yep, they got colonics!  And yep, it took a LONG time for them to be ready to talk about the experience, but here it is!

This week, while the kids were away, Jeff and Jennifer watched all three of the newest Star Trek movies in less than 24 hours!  They agree that Star Trek was a very fun reboot, they give split reviews about Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond was a lot of fun, even with the excessive death toll and oddly-familiar plot.

Familiar plot?  What movie did Star Trek Beyond seem to lift its villain and climactic ending from?  Listen to find out what movie and why!

Shout out to TrekCore.com for the audio samples.  Live long and prosper, everyone!

WE'RE BACK! Jennifer is now recovering from some super-fun spine surgery, and she wanted to try out going to the movies in her super-comfy neck brace.  After a discussion about chiropracty and Jeff's very sad childhood experiences with "pets," they dive into a deep, spoiler-laden review of the new Ghostbusters reboot.  Was it entertaining?  Absolutely!  Did it make sense to include the original 80s cast while not acknowledging the 80s movie in the slightest?  Not at all!  Anything else?  Plenty, so be sure and listen in to our big Ghostbusters 2016 review!

In their 3rd movie exchange, Jeff & Jennifer pay tribute to Prince by watching 80s epic musical drama Purple Rain, which Jeff had never seen before. Then, Jeff again digs into the world of 80s martial arts movies and has Jennifer watch Police Story 2, a wacky tale of ... well, it's hard to say for sure.

This week we celebrate all things Star Wars! Or, at least, all the things we could fit into an already-super-sized episode. Not one, but TWO guests join in this week: Lifelong Star Wars fan Karalee, and lifelong Star Wars fanatic Drew. We all share memories and favorites, and Drew teaches us quite a few things about the deeper Star Wars universe that we never knew before. May the Fourth be with YOU!
